How to adjust the discharge size of a sand and gravel crusher?
1. Discharge Opening Adjustment Method
The discharge opening size is adjusted via the sawtooth threads between the adjusting ring, fixed cone liner and support sleeve. After screwing the adjusting ring onto the threads, rotate it to lift or lower the fixed mantle so as to change the discharge opening dimension. Both the VSI6X and VSI5X sand & gravel crushers mentioned above are equipped with an intelligent touch control system. Single-person operation is available, and discharge opening adjustment can be done without equipment shutdown for higher efficiency.
2. Precautions for Discharge Opening Adjustment
Never adjust the discharge opening below its specified minimum dimension. Thread blockage will cause stiff rotation of the adjusting ring; in such case, apply lubricating oil for lubrication first, clear jammed aggregate inside the sand maker, then turn the adjusting ring.
