1. Check the characteristics of raw stone materials

The hardness, silt content and moisture content of the raw stone are all key factors. Besides, you should choose the primary crushing machine according to the feed particle size. If the incoming material is small enough, it can be sent directly to the secondary crushing equipment.

For high-hardness stones such as granite, basalt and river pebble, jaw crushers and cone crushers are the ideal choices.

For low-hardness stones like limestone, impact crushers are suitable for secondary crushing.

This can reduce wear on vulnerable parts such as jaw plates, lower production costs and improve overall working efficiency.

2. Consider requirements for finished product quality

Customers’ requirements on finished stone particle size and grain shape also decide which mining crushing equipment to choose. If finished stones need to be of different sizes, screening equipment should also be equipped for grading.

3. Confirm the usage of finished aggregates

Standards for sand and gravel aggregates vary in national projects such as highways, water conservancy, infrastructure and bridge construction. Production equipment should be arranged reasonably according to the actual use of finished stones.
