What materials are large stone crushing equipment suitable for crushing?

Stone crushing machines mainly break materials by impact force.

When large stone crushers are working, the fast-spinning hammers hit, pound, cut and grind big rocks. The rocks are thrown by inertia onto the inner impact plates of the machine and get broken again. Then they fall down onto the screen bars.

Stones of the right size drop out through the gaps of the bars. The bigger ones stay on the bars and keep being hit, pressed and ground by the hammers until they are small enough.

Because of constant repeated hitting and crushing, the hammers wear out very easily.

This kind of stone crusher works best for medium-hard and brittle materials, such as limestone, bluestone, sandstone and coal gangue, with compression strength no more than 200MPa.

It is not fit for very hard materials, as this will wear down the hammers quickly and raise the cost of replacement.
