What Are the Advantages of Tower Type Sand Making Plant？

The VU tower-type sand making system adopts a brand-new dry sand making solution. It greatly improves three key indicators of manufactured sand: particle shape, gradation and powder content. It also effectively reduces void ratio and value. This helps enhance the workability and strength of concrete, while cutting the usage of cement and admixtures.

1. Good Particle Shape

With the high-frequency rock-on-rock crushing chamber design, it produces mostly cubic-shaped sand particles with very little flaky and elongated grains. It lowers equipment wear, improves particle strength and makes concrete easier to pump. Compared with ordinary machine-made sand, VU sand has a rounder particle shape with far fewer sharp edges and rough burrs.

2. Excellent Flow Performance

The flow ability is improved by over 10%, and the void ratio is reduced by 0.5% to 1%.

3. Optimal Gradation

It has a high content of fine sand between 0.15~0.6mm and a low proportion of ultra-fine powder below 0.15mm. Its gradation curve stays close to the median value of Zone 2, making it an ideal gradation for regular concrete sand.

4. Adjustable Fineness Modulus and Powder Content

Without replacing screens or any hardware parts, you can easily adjust the fineness modulus from 2.3 to 3.2 by controlling the return material of the lower screen and adjusting air volume. Adopting negative pressure powder removal technology, the powder content can be freely adjusted and controlled within 3% to 15%.
